A training opportunity for anyone who is interested. The National
Weather Service and the National Oceanic & Atmospheric
Administration (NOAA) are hosting some Skywarn Spotter Training classes
in the region. The classes to be held in Cochise County will be
in Sierra Vista on May 4th and in Douglas on May 14th. This class
is free
of charge and you will be a “Skywarn Spotter” at it’s
conclusion. See the attached flyer
for more information, but I
encourage everyone to try and attend one of these if you haven’t in the
past. It is one more way you can help your family, neighborhood
and yourself be better prepared for potential emergencies. Also
please feel free to forward this information on to anyone who might be
interested in attending, there are no pre-requisites for this class,
and it is open to anyone. If you have taken it already, you don’t
have to take it again though.
Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions about this
training.
Cheers,
Elizabeth
