The Cochise Amateur Radio Association is located at 2756 Moson Road, Sierra Vista, Arizona.  CARA holds a monthly membership meeting at Green acres;  at 7:00 P.M. on the first Monday of the month.  The Club facilities are known as Green Acres, named in honor of former club president Dale Green (SK).  His call, K7RDG, was reissued to CARA as a club call in Dale Green's honor after his passing.  Click here for a story and photos from 1981.

From Sierra Vista, take Highway 90 east to Moson Road, turn south, go 2 miles to the Green Acres facility, recognized by it extensive antenna field.

The club welcomes all amateur radio operators and those who may be interested in amateur radio.


Cara has a number of outstanding facilities located at green acres including The Larson Hall Meeting Room Pete's Palace HF Operating Facility, Morgan Manor HAM Library and Meeting Room as well as an extensive Antenna Farm.

CARA hosts the Mule Mountain net each Thursday night at 7:00 P.M. on the 146.76 (-)(PL 162) repeater.    A number of members also get together at Green Acres on Saturday mornings (usually at about 8:00AM) to work on the facilities and other projects (or sometimes just to enjoy a cup of coffee and talk about ham radio subjects).  Anyone interested in amateur radio is welcome to attend these activities.
